Diamond buying guide
Buying a diamond is a big investment and can appear quite confusing until you learn about the 4 Cs of diamond quality: the carat weight, the cut, the clarity and the colour. Buying a certificated diamond from the Gemmological Institute of America (GIA) or the Hoge Raad voor Diamant (HRD), based in Amsterdam and Belgium, provides you with the assurances about the 4 Cs of your diamond and many other factors which affect its sparkle.
The cost of certificated diamonds is more expensive: making the choice between a certificated and uncertifcated stone is a personal one which I can discuss with you - with many years experience of working in this field I can give you a better understanding, thus helping you to make the right choice for your requirements. Please get in contact by email or phone to discuss further.
For more information about the 4Cs the GIA has an excellent information page as does HRD.
